www.cuttriss.com was born in 2005 as a family learning project generally based on open-source software. Whilst a number of the Cuttriss family have individual computer based skills, it was hoped that they could all be combined to create a professional and workable website both for public view and individual use.

To this end, hardware was accumulated for the servers and a Gentoo distribution was successfully installed. Following the successful implementation of apache, a number of other software packages were installed in order to make full use of the servers. As can be seen, the coding for the web site is still underway, with the most complex tasks generally being the integration of open source products into the template of the website.
